Seabed Surveys (January 2013)
Singapore's seabed is NOT dead and lifeless! Here's some of the amazing marine life found during the surveys of the bottom of our seas in January conducted by the Mega Marine Survey.

Northern Expedition featured in The New Paper
The Northern Expedition is featured in The New Paper! Dr Tan Koh Siang of the Tropical Marine Science Institute and leader of the Expedition shared more about the finds made.
He said: "We are certainly excited about the specimens we have collected since quite a few are either new records for Singapore, or are 're-discovered' after many decades. "Some may eventually prove to be new science.

Northern Expedition a highlight of Singapore's Wild Year
Thanks to Grace Chua of the Straits Times, in "The Year Gone Wild", the Northern Expedition is featured as one of the key wild happenings in Singapore for 2012!
She says: "From Chek Jawa to Changi, local and international researchers and an army of volunteers spent two and a half weeks digging up, preserving, photographing and cataloguing the specimens, which ranged from the tiniest, never-seen-before sea slugs to plate-size horseshoe crabs."

Awesome creatures of the Northern Expedition
Long after the Northern Expedition is over, the photographers have been working hard processing the bazillion shots they took of the vast variety of creatures discovered during the Expedition. Here's a glimpse at some of them.
